Aide to New York attorney general resigns amid harassment claims of ‘inappropriate touching’

A top aide to New York Attorney General Letitia James has resigned amid allegations of sexual harassment including "inappropriate touching."

Ibrahim Khan "was accused of inappropriate touching and unwanted kissing by at least one woman," the New York Times reported on Friday. James has reportedly hired lawyers to investigate the allegations.

At least one woman who has filed a complaint has been told "her allegation of inappropriate touching and unwanted kissing had been substantiated," the paper said. 

Khan in a statement to the paper said he had been "slated to leave the office for the private sector at the end of this year." 

"This is unrelated to an investigation which, nevertheless, found no official workplace misconduct," he said.
