President Trump called for Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) to be thrown out of the Republican Party over his objections to voting on the $2 trillion stimulus bill with a voice vote.

"Looks like a third rate Grandstander named @RepThomasMassie, a Congressman from, unfortunately, a truly GREAT State, Kentucky, wants to vote against the new Save Our Workers Bill in Congress. He just wants the publicity. He can’t stop it, only delay, which is both dangerous & costly," Trump tweeted Friday.

"Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasn’t their fault. It is 'HELL' dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the 'big picture' done. 90% GREAT! WIN BACK HOUSE, but throw Massie out of Republican Party!" the president also posted on Twitter.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is putting the record $2 trillion stimulus package up for a voice vote on Friday, which doesn't require a quorum.

Massie posted a screenshot of the Constitution on his Twitter account Thursday and wrote, "US Constitution ARTICLE I, SECTION 5, CLAUSE 1 Quorum requirement."

He also wrote, "The Senate did some voodoo just like with Obamacare. Took a House Bill (HR 748) dealing with taxes, stripped every word, and put their bill in it. The House is just as responsible for killing the origination clause as the Senate. It’s the House’s job to reject the process."

If Massie objects to the legislation on the voice vote, it would be prompt a recorded vote.
