Trump signs 31 orders, makes cabinet appointments official

Trump also signed a proclamation ordering that flags be flown at full staff for the rest of the day and on all future inauguration days.

President-elect Trump signed 31 orders on Monday after his swearing-in ceremony to gain control of the U.S. government and make his cabinet appointments official.

"Now, 31 acting designations and appointments, to effectively take control of the government," Trump was told at the signing ceremony.

"Let's do that," Trump said.

He also signed a proclamation ordering that flags be flown at full staff for the rest of the day and on all future inauguration days.
