"As Biden goes around prattling about how great things are, people wonder what planet he's living on," Gingrich said.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that President Joe Biden has three major factors going against him in 2024 for his re-election campaign: his age, political scandals, and inflation.

"Biden has three times as much inflation so far, as did President Trump," Gingrich said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "People know it because they buy gasoline. They buy food. They pay for their electric bill. As Biden goes around prattling about how great things are, people wonder what planet he's living on."

Gingrich said that the second major factor against the current president is his age.

According to a poll put out by the Associated Press, 77% of Americans say that Biden is too old to hold office for another four years.

"If they think he's too old this year, wait until next summer," Gingrich stated. "He'll be older. It's not gonna get better."

He said he believes that the third factor will be the political scandals that have recently come out regarding the Biden family uncovered by House Republicans.

Many House leaders have requested materials to further their inquiries into the first family and the administration's alleged weaponization of the federal government.

"I think the third thing is going to be the scale of the scandals," Gingrich said. "I think it really becomes obvious that this is an election about the survival of the rule of law and the survival of the American Constitution. And I think that is going to become an enormously unifying issue."
