A fire broke out at Tiffany & Co.'s flagship store on 5th Avenue in Manhattan on Thursday morning, the New York City Fire Department said in an all-hands alert.

The department said the fire was under control shortly after noon.

Officials said the fire department received a call for a transformer fire in the building shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to NBC News

The iconic building, located next to Trump Tower, was reopened in April after a multi-year renovation.

The store was made famous in Audrey Hepburn's 1961 classic film, "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

The extent of the damage is unclear, but smoke stains could be seen on the store's facade.
