Sen. Ron Johnson said after Trump gunman was killed, pictures were taken of him, sent to ATF agent
Sen. Johnson posted some of his preliminary findings regarding the attempted investigation of the assassination of Trump.
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said Sunday that in his preliminary findings regarding the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, pictures of the alleged gunmen were taken and sent to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
"So that sniper team that was in the AGR building....they were the first ones that went up on the roof," Johnson said during a Fox News interview. "They were the first to encounter the dead assassin at that point in time. Later on other people joined them and......somebody told them to send the pictures they had taken to an ATF agent."
He said that his office had called the ATF agent who confirmed he was with the agency, but as of now has "gone dark."
Johnson said he thought that was very strange.
Recently, Johnson posted some of his preliminary findings regarding the attempted investigation of the assassination of Trump.
The gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was taken down by the Secret Service after he shot at Trump and wound up hitting him in the ear, while injuring two other people and killing one at a rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The gunman had tried to kill Trump from a rooftop.
Johnson's report states that the Secret Service did not attend a security briefing the morning of July 13.
