Anti-Woke Caucus criticizes State Department for helping fund forgivable loans for migrant travel
If one doesn't pay the IOM loan back, the disadvantage is their credit score being reduced.
Republican lawmakers who serve on the Anti-Woke Caucus are criticizing Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the State Department for financially supporting the International Organization for Migration’s Travel Loan Program.
Caucus Chairman Jim Banks, R-Ind., raised the concern earlier this month to Blinken and the agency that was also signed by fellow GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, of Georgia, and Jeff Duncan, of California.
The loan program allows for penalty-free loan payments to be forgiven for reasons such as bankruptcy and unemployment. It also provides refugees with zero interest, according to The Daily Caller.
“More Americans are defaulting on their auto loans than at any point since the Great Recession," Banks told the news outlet. "They won’t be able to keep their cars just because they can’t find work in the Biden economy. Meanwhile, foreigners don’t have to worry about repaying their loans or even about driving – they can travel the sunny skies for free on your dime."

"Joe Biden will always put foreigners [and] their borders first and America last," Banks also said.
