Justice Department offers Boeing plea deal

Under the proposed agreement, if Boeing pleads guilty to the conspiracy charge, it would pay a fine and enter a three-year probationary period.

The Justice Department is offering Boeing a plea deal in connection with its investigation and potential criminally charge for the company into crashes in 2018 and 2019 of its 737 Max aircrafts.

The the department case and purported criminal charges are for the company violating a 2021 deferred prosecution agreement in connection with the matter.

The department told Boeing it could plead guilty or go to trial, according to reports.

Under the proposed agreement, if Boeing pleads guilty to a conspiracy charge, it would pay a fine and enter a three-year probationary period where an independent monitor would conduct an audit.
