Graham testifies before grand jury in Georgia on 2020 election interference probe

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has testified in front of a Georgia grand jury in connect with a probe into possible interference in the 2020 presidential election. 

Graham's office put out a statement that said the senator testified for over two hours and answered questions asked by members of the grand jury. 

“The senator feels he was treated with respect, professionalism, and courtesy,” the statement also read. “Out of respect for the grand jury process he will not comment on the substance of the questions.” 

Earlier in November, the Supreme Court declined to block Graham's subpoena in the election probe by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Willis is requesting phone records and calls Graham made to top election officials in Georgia after the election. 

Graham had argued that he shouldn’t have to offer testimony about the calls because they were part of his duties leading up to Congress’ vote to certify the election results.
