A federal judge in California judge has granted a former first son Hunter Biden's request to drop his laptop hacking lawsuit.

Judge Hernán Vera made the decision Thursday to allow Biden to dismiss his case against ex Tump aide Garrett Ziegler.

Biden in September 2023 sued Ziegler and the company he founded, Marco Polo, claiming they broke state and federal laws to create an online searchable database with 128,000 emails attributed to Biden, according to NBC News.

Ziegler was an aide to Trump’s trade adviser, Peter Navarro, from February 2019 to January 2021.

Vera agreed to close the case but denied Biden's request to keep it open-ended and potentially bring the case forward again, according to The New York Post.

Biden said the reason for wanting to drop the lawsuit is due to financial problems.

Ziegler has denied wrongdoing.
