Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., is now off the House Rules Committee, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

Massie was the sole Republican who voted against House Speaker Mike Johnson's re-election in early January.

The House Republican Conference in a closed door meeting voted on a new committee roster that didn't include Massie, according to Axios.

House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Va., will reportedly replace him.

In the past, Massie had said that he would leave the panel voluntarily after voting against Johnson.
