'There were sufficient resources?': Secret Service Director Cheatle makes claim at hearing
A tense exchange ensued after the Secret Service director called resources for the July 13 Trump rally 'sufficient'
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle's congressional testimony became heated on Monday. Under questioning about the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Cheatle told Rep. William Timmons, R-S.C., that resources at the Trump's rally were "sufficient."
Timmons fired back incredulously, "Did you just say there were sufficient resources?"
The exchange began with Timmons questioning whether a Pittsburgh event featuring first lady Jill Biden received Secret Service resources disproportionate to the threats present at the event, thus diverting resources from the Trump rally.
